1. How to establish a drawing?
2 basic ways:-
i. Importing from CAD then rebuilt in Revit
- Link CAD into Revit & draw walls, doors/windows to be inserted later. Draw entire straight wall >paste align items to different levels
ii. Create mass in revit then convert into levels, then manipulate levels.
2. How do we control the properties of columns? Changing one and the rest follows? Building columns level by level?)
Select Item > Modify Model Groups > Change Element Type
Or
Select item > Right Click > Element Properties
3. View Icon ( How to call the navigation view icon?)
Shift + middle mouse button
4. Walls ( How to match properties of wall? What is the efficient way of building a walls?
Modify > Clipboard > Match Type
5. How to establish walls?
Just draw, Revit is powerful, all information are incorporated.
6. Curtain Wall?
Home > Curtain Grid > Mullion
7. Staircase?
Home > Staircase

8. Locking?
Pin (pp) = locking objects
However, object can still be deleted with prompt.
9. Snapping / Keyboard shortcut?
Revit uses 2letter keyboard short cuts. F1 to look for the alias.
10. Levels?
Levels can be created in Sectional or Elevation view. Respective floor levels are created when you draw the levels out. When you drag and copy the levels, additional steps going to view > create > plan views > floor plan then select respective levels to create the floor levels.
11.Elevations?
View > Create > Elevation
